What to Expect at
Your Appointment
When you arrive for your appointment, our friendly front office staff will help you with your paperwork and make sure you have a comfortable experience. We encourage you to bring a friend or family member with you to your appointment so you can have a familiar voice with you.
1. Our hearing specialist will begin by having a conversation with you about your hearing. We will ask you what brought you in today, what type of sounds you are having trouble hearing, and what your expectations are for the appointment.
2. After our short conversation, then we will perform an ear exam by using an otoscope to look inside your ears at the ear canal and eardrum.
3. Once we’ve determined your ears are healthy then we can move onto the hearing test. This will consist of pure tone testing and is quick and painless.
4. After your hearing exam we will go over your hearing loss (if any) and will explain your hearing loss so you can understand what type and degree it is as well as how you may have developed it.
